Create a fluttering masterpiece with these vibrant paper plate butterflies! Featuring colourful pom pom bodies, adorable googly eyes, and beautifully painted wings, these delightful creatures will bring a touch of whimsy to any room. 

Materials Needed:

• Paper plates
• Paint and brushes
• Pom poms (various colors)
• Googly eyes
• Pipe cleaners
• Scissors
• Sticky tape
• Glue
• Stickers, crepe paper, glitter, or other embellishments

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Wings: Start by painting your paper plate in bright colours. 

2. Cut and Shape the Wings: Once the paint is dry, cut the paper plates out to make four wing shapes. Position the four wing shapes so that they overlap slightly in the centre. Use glue to stick or tape in the centre, forming a full butterfly shape.

3. Add Details: It's time to get creative! Add more detail by decorating the wings with stickers, crepe paper, glitter, or any other embellishments you have. Glue them on to make your butterfly extra special.

4. Create the Body: Take 2-3 pom poms and glue them in a line down the center of the wings. This will be the butterfly's body. Choose pom poms that contrast with the wing colors for a fun effect.

5. Add the Eyes: Glue a pair of big googly eyes onto the top pom pom. This will give your butterfly a playful and lively expression.

6. Attach the Antennae: Cut a pipe cleaner in half, then curl each piece to form the antennae. Glue or tuck them into the top pom pom for a cute finishing touch.
