I'm loving this gorgeous work by Chilean artist Livia Marin. For her exhibition, Broken Things, Marin sculpted these everyday objects of cups, bowls and plates and reworked them with cracks and crevices. The fractures representing loss, but in repairing and keeping the object she stresses the relationship of care and continuation. My favourites have to be these seemingly ordinary objects that appear melted. Beautiful.
Our baby has made the local paper (third one down) and he's a finalist in our councils doggie competition! Not surprising for such a pretty boy. :)
I'm sure at some time or other you've googled your name to see what comes up. Im always surprised to see just how many people with my name are artists and designers. So here are some talented JBells! Google your name and see what comes up!
